Leads the teams responsible for corporate planning and business development

Will Giraud headshotWill Giraud is senior vice president, Corporate Planning and Development for ConocoPhillips. In this capacity, he oversees the teams responsible for business development; strategy, planning and portfolio management; assurance, authorizations and appraisals; and the chief economist’s office.

Giraud has approximately 20 years of oil and natural gas industry experience. Prior to his current role, he served as vice president, Corporate Planning and Development and vice president and chief commercial officer.

He joined ConocoPhillips in 2021 in connection with the Concho Resources transaction. During his tenure at Concho, he served in various roles, including chief operating officer and chief commercial officer. He began his career as a corporate lawyer focusing on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance at Vinson & Elkins in Houston.

Giraud earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Wake Forest University and a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Texas.
